Hitting the Dirt In Arizona

Tanner Foust debuted in the 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Race series in September. After the rally veteran showed Brian Deegan the ropes in X Games Rally Car Racing, the Metal Mulisha general returned the favor by helping Foust learn his off-road racing discipline. The weekend saw plenty of on-course action as Foust put the Rockstar Energy #69 Super Lite truck through its paces alongside relative veteran, Mulisha driver Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg in the #88.

Foust set some of the fastest times of the day in practice and qualifying and was looking good for a podium, but tough luck kept him out of the top three in Saturday and Sunday’s races. He was black-flagged to the back of the pack Saturday afternoon after some mid-race contact, then suffered a suspension component failure on Sunday while he was fighting his way into third place — and was unable to finish.

Even so, Foust said he had a great weekend and can’t wait to get back in the dirt.
